This large, six-color Northwest Coast formline
design references many aspects of Hopi mythology in an attempt
to join one form of native American mythos to the formal
structures of another. The seven worlds of the Hopi, Taiowa, the
creator, the twins of the north and south pole, Raven, eagle, and
the sipapuni up through which human beings have arisen into our
various worlds are all portrayed in the image.
