This film on DVD is a journey through history, where famed photographer Edward S. Curtis explains Native American cultures in his own words and photographs. This spectacular cinematic reconstruction of Curtis's 1911-12 magic-lantern slide show illuminates a time when Native Americans were forced from their lands and separated from their cultures.

Curtis's documentation of Indian cultures serve as a unique footprint in time. The Indian Picture Opera contains hundreds of his photos, plus the music that accompanied the original slide show. Its a magical time toura throwback to nearly 100 years ago. Modern computer graphics and animations bring it to life.
